Before Cory ever met Lyly, his students were already obsessed with her. She was just supposed to sub for the last month of school while he was away on leave but

fast forward a few months and surprise they were assigned to teach together. Cory and Lyly, in the same classroom, five days a week.

From day one, their teamwork made sense. What started as co-teaching turned into best friends and a lot more.

Helping with Sophia. Chasing chickens around the school. Driving across town for races. Tag-teaming class camping trips. Even trying (and very quickly retiring) beekeeping.

Somewhere between lesson planning and late-night grocery runs, they just worked.
